My A pillars are fading. Badly. This leaves me with three options: leave them alone and be sad, paint them and probably mess up and be sad, or replace them for nearly $150 for the set, and then be sad that I spent that much money. I think I'll go with option A for the time being.

I’d leave it for now. Spend money on it when you can afford it.

My mirror caps are fading too. Not sure if I want to repaint them, because if I do that then I’m going to want to do the front bumper too. Reluctant to send my daily driver into a rabbit hole of cosmetic restoration.

I’d get some plasti-dip and some gloss topcoat and black them out. Or try and get close to a match.

It is a Soul, but no sunroof sadly. I almost bought a white one that had the sunroof for $1500 more, but my dad talked me into being more responsible and staying within my budget and whatnot.

When you say they are fading. Do the look like their original colour when they are wet?
If so, get some isopropyl alcohol to thoroughly clean the surface and then use a ceramic coating, such as Gtechniq C1+, follow the instructions and you should have at least three years protection from UV damage and resistance to chemical damage. The coatings are around USD $40-60.

You could vinyl over them. I did that on Civic b pillars.

I used this video to solid effect on an old Mazda pickup I had and it worked pretty darn well:

If the colour returns when the plastic is wet, then it’s highly likely they can be saved.
This is Gtechniq C4 coating for plastic. Lasts 24 months.
Also great for gloss plastic B and C pillars as if offers a degree of scratch resistance.
